In hopes of understanding the enigmatic linear dunes of Titan, a small group met at the Desert Research Institute in Las Vegas. Realizing we have several nice sets of active dunes nearby, we jumped in the van and drove to the Mojave Desert. The first pictures are of a small linear dune at the north edge of Dumont Dunes, and the last pictures are of the south margin of Kelso Dunes. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures during the workshop, and some attendees are not featured in the field pictures. Field trippers were Nick Lancaster, Dave Rubin, Tom Farr, Steve Wall, Ralph Lorenz, Mike Janssen, Claire Newman, Erwan Reffet, Jani Radebaugh, and Chris Savage. Not pictured but at the workshop were Ron Greeley, Rosaly Lopes, Ellen Stofan, Randy Kirk, Alice LeGall and Devon Burr.
